la Diable Sector: Mont-Tremblant National Park
Last week we headed up to Mont-Tremblant resort for a couple of days for some biking and hiking.
The “Le P’tit Train du Nord” Linear Park is 230 kilometers long. We started in Annonciation sector of Rivière-Rouge, where parking and full facilities are available, and headed north to lac Nominigue. It's hard to believe until you're riding on it, but the trail is paved, not simply stone dust and/or gravel.
The next day we were off to the "la Diable" sector of the Mont-Tremblant National Park. We started by the "La Chute-du-Diable" (or The Devil's Waterfall) a relatively easy 1.4 km (0.9 mile) hike.
This trail leads to an impressive natural amphitheater with a side-entry/exit for the waterfall.
Next we headed to the Les Chutes-Croches (Crooked Waterfalls) trail, a shorter and easy 0.7 km (0.4 mile) hike.
The last section of the trail is on a bike-able service road and quite easy to walk to get to the waterfall.
Our next destination was "La Corniche"(the Cornice), a longer and more challenging trail that I will describe in a subsequent post.
